Safety information

1. Please read the following information and
keep it for future reference.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruc-
tion concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised in order to
ensure that they do not play with the appli-
ance.
4. Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
5. Connect the appliance only to an AC power
supply with the voltage indicated on the
rating plate.
6. Do not operate this appliance with an exter-
nal timer or remote control system.
7. Never immerse the appliance or the lead
cable in water or other liquids.
8. The base should never come into contact
with water or other liquids. In case this ever
happens, the appliance must be completely
dry before operating it again.
9. Do not clean the appliance in a dishwasher.
10. Never touch the appliance or lead cable with
wet hands.

12. For safety reasons, never place the appli-
ance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet
surface.
13. Do not switch on the appliance without cho-
colate being filled into the melting pan.

15. Leave the hot chocolate to cool down a little
bit before eating it or before eating coated
food.
16. Do not place the appliance or lead cable
near open flames during operation.
17. Always use the appliance on a level, unclut-
tered and heat-resistant surface.
18. Make sure that the lead cable does not hang
over the edge of the worktop or table, since
this can cause accidents, for example if
small children pull on the cable.
19. Route the lead cable so that it is prevented
from being pulled or tripped over.
20. Always disconnect the lead cable from the
wall socket pulling on the plug, never on the
cable.
21. Never carry the appliance by the lead cable.
22. Use the appliance only indoors.
