Operating and Maintenance Instruction FCU 8000-1 series
A flow control valve (7) is available to adjust the oil flow which is independent of pressure
and pressure fluctuations.
To protect against breakdown due to contamination, a hydraulic filter (8) with electrical
clogging indicator is fitted in front of this flow control valve.
The set valves (9) and (10) and the diaphragm accumulator (15) enable connection to
sampling points for the pressure range 1 - 350 bar at the "Inlet".
The FCU can be operated via the keyboard (12). The parameters for measurement can
be altered and different displays can be selected in the LC-Display (6).
Unless altered, the following information is constantly displayed during measurement
(Please see 6.3 The FCU Display):
·
selected measurement mode
·
progress of the current measurement
·
instantaneous value of the measurement results of 2 of the 6 particle size
channels
·
trend display: rising or falling ¯
·
instantaneous flow rate value
·
only in the event of breakdown -> error messages
The FCU also has 3 built-in relays with the following functions:
·
Relays 1 and 2 limit switches (change-over contacts)
With relay 1 a filtration unit, for example, can also be controlled.
·
Relay 3 device ready signal (normally open contact; closed when FCU is ready for
operation)
Relay 3 serves as a device ready contact
The evaluation electronics of the FCU monitors continuously:
· The particle sensor
· The filter clogging indicator
· The flow rate meter
· The supply voltage
· The internal evaluation electronics
During fault-free normal operation, the contacts of relay 3 are always
closed.
If a fault is recognised, relay 3 opens the contacts !
In the event of breakdown an appropriate error message appears automatically in the
display, and data storage is interrupted. (Please see point 8 "Error messages &
troubleshooting")
As soon as the error is eliminated the evaluation electronics recognises this, re-sets the
error message automatically and closes the contacts of relay 3 and resumes both
measurement and data storage.
