9.1 Filter element

Description
The FCU is fitted with a differential pressure switch to indicate when the filter is clogged.
In order for this to function the flow control valve must not be shut-off, and therefore a flow
is shown in the display. Now the differential pressure switch can switch at a differential
pressure of 2 bar, and the message "Filter clogged" appears in the display. As soon as
this message appears, the filter element must be changed.
Exception
If the filter is clogged, but a differential pressure of 2 bar is not reached, then no message
will appear in the display. In this case, a message indicating flow error will appear.
Changing the filter element
Prepare suitable container to collect the residual oil!
·
Before changing the element, disconnect the FCU from the system,
Caution! First disconnect Minimess hose from the system!
·
unscrew filter bowl lock nut on the back of the unit using SW 19 spanner and collect
residual oil,
· pull filter element by the handle out of the bowl,
·
remove handle from the old filter element and fit it to the new filter element, type: 0060
D 005 BN 3 HC, Part no.: 1260 891,
·
lubricate O-ring on the filter element lightly,
· fit the new filter element turning slightly,
·
check O-ring on the filter bowl lock nut for damage and lubricate slightly,
·
re-fit filter bowl lock nut and tighten by hand.
