8 Error messages and troubleshooting

Cause(s)
You have entered a value which
is outside the permitted value
range (e.g. NAS 40).
The self-monitoring function of
the FCU has detected a check
sum error for one or more
parameters.
Cause: A strong electromagnetic
interference has changed the
parameters.
The self-monitoring function of
the FCU has detected a check
sum error for one or more stored
logs.
Causes:
· A strong electromagnetic
interference has changed the
measured value memory
· The internal back-up battery is
discharged
You have tried to print logs, but
the FCU memory is empty.
You have tried to print a graph,
but the selected log has
insufficient measurement values
(min. 3) to produce a graph.
The rechargeable batteries are
low.
The rechargeable batteries are
discharged.

Remedy
Display the permitted value
ranges using the arrow keys +
and -¯ by scrolling above the
maximum values. Then the
minimum value is automatically
displayed. This works forwards
and backwards.
· Re-set all parameters using
the keypad
· Alternatively download all
parameters again using the
FCUDESK PC software
· The defective logs are
automatically deleted. This
means that after the next
power up this message is
not displayed again if this
was just a short-term
interference.
· If this message is displayed
several times, the internal
back-up battery is probably
discharged.
-> Ship FCU to HYDAC for
repair.
Take new measurements.
Print log as a table
You can still take
measurements, but preferably
you should connect to the
mains, especially for printing.
· You must charge the
batteries using the mains for
approx. 11 hours.
· However, you can still take
measurements as normal
using the mains adaptor.
