Receiving calls

When a call arrives, the ring tone sounds on the mobile unit and on the base station. Lift
the mobile unit from the base station or press the call button
and the connection will be made.
If you do not want to be disturbed, press the SILENT display button and the ring tone for
this one call will be switched off directly.
The call indicator on the base station will flash during the call. To end the call, replace

If it is not possible to accept a call because you are not there, a message will
appear in the display. In this way, you will be able to tell that you have received a
call during your absence. You will find further information on this topic in Chapter

Making calls

Enter the required telephone number with a maximum of 20 digits using the number
pad. The numbers pressed are shown in the display. Press the call button
the required connection will be made.
If you have entered a number incorrectly, you can delete the number by repeatedly
pressing the CLEAR button. The number is completely deleted by pressing the button
for a long time.
Note: You can also get a dialling tone by first pressing the call button
entering the digits of your required phone number, your telephone will dial the number
directly. With this method of making a call, it is not possible to correct individual digits in
the number in the manner described above.

Handsfree facility

If you want to use the hands-free facility, first set up the call in the usual way. During the
call, press the left display button twice (OPTIONS -> SPEAKER). You will now hear the
person you are speaking to over the loudspeaker in the mobile unit. By pressing the left
display button twice, you can change over between normal and handsfree mode during
a call. Always end calls made using the handsfree facility with the

Call duration display

The call duration in minutes and seconds is shown in the top left of the display during a
call. The call duration will still be retained in the display for a few seconds after the call
has been ended. This indication can be cancelled prematurely with the OK display
button.
Your telephone remembers the times of all the calls so that you can subsequently see
the duration of the last call and a summary of the call times for all calls that have been
dialled and received.
