Switching the handset off and on
In order to save the standard batteries, press the
handset off. When the handset has been switched off, no incoming calls can be taken. The
base station, however, continues to signal incoming calls.

Press the
button or place the handset in the base station. The handset searches for
the base station and two acoustic signals are issued. The display then indicates the
equipment is in Standby mode.

Combox or other external answering machines

If the telephone network provider has an external answering machine (e.g. the Combox)

available, the
icon indicates new messages have been recorded for you. After playing
back all the messages on the external answering machine, the icon disappears from the
display.
Caution: The provision of an external answering machine and indication of
new messages via the
work provider. This function can only be used when your telephone network
provider actually offers the service. Contact your network provider for further
information.
5.4
Taking a call
When a call is received, both the handset and base station ring. Take the handset from the
base station and press the Call button
Note:
It is possible to setup the telephone so that calls are automatically taken when
the handset is removed from the base station (refer to Chapter 9.4).
A connection is established. To end the call, replace the handset in the base station or

button on the handset.

Taking two calls

You will hear acoustic signals (call waiting) if a second call is received while you are
carrying out a telephone conversation. The number of the second caller appears in the

display. Press the

set the Flash time to 300 ms (refer to Chapter 10.2).
