7. The base station is then searched for and an acoustic signal is issued after a
few seconds. The handset is now registered and can be used for internal and
external calls.
Note: The handset is then automatically assigned an internal
call number. The handset already registered has the
internal call number 1.
The second handset registered is assigned the
internal call number 2.
This internal call number appears in the display to the
left of the name of the handset.
12.1.2 Registering other DECT-GAP telephones on the base station
In order to register a DECT-GAP handset from another manufacturer, follow the
instructions in the operating manual provided by the original manufacturer and then press
the Paging button on the base station until two acoustic signals are issued. Use the PIN
code for the registration (default setting: 0000).
12.1.3 Registering a handset on a DECT/GAP base station from
another manufacturer
Proceed as follows to register a SWITEL DECT-GAP handset on a base station from
another manufacturer:
