Inserting the standard batteries

In order to insert the rechargeable standard batteries in the handset, press on the top edge
of the battery compartment cover and slide it
downwards. Insert the standard batteries,
paying attention to correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment cover.

Charging the standard batteries

When preparing to use the handset for the first time, place it in the base station or charging
station, with its display facing the front, for at least 15 hours. An acoustic signal is issued
when the handset is placed in the base station or charging station and the standard
batteries are charged.
Failure to charge the standard batteries properly can lead to telephone malfunction.
The rechargeable standard batteries in the handset have a maximum standby time of 120
hours at room temperature. The maximum talk time is 8 hours.

Tone or Pulse dialling method

This future-oriented feature enables the telephone to be connected and used on both
analogue (pulse dialling) and digital (tone dialling) connections. The equipment is set to
TONE dialling (DTMF) at the factory. If the telephone does not work on your telephone
connection, refer to Chapter 10.4 to learn how to switch the telephone to pulse dialling.
