Increasing the range

The range of the handset can be increased by placing additional base stations in specific
areas of the building or workplace.
1. Position the base stations so that the ranges of the individual base stations
overlap (refer to diagram). If necessary, test the range of your handsets.
Obstacles in buildings, such as walls and ceilings, can restrict the range
considerably.
2. Register your handset on all base stations (refer to Chapter 13.1).
3. Activate the "automatic selection" of the base stations on the handset (refer to
Chapter 13.2).
4. If you currently have a call in Area C, this call cannot be transferred to another
base station in the Areas A, B or D.
Note:
If you move too far from the respective area served by the base station, the
icon flashes and acoustic warning signals are issued. Move towards the
relevant base station, otherwise the call will be disconnected. The automatic
transfer of a handset from one base station to another takes approx. 2
seconds. During this period, the message

Mobility through different locations

Your handset can be used at different locations. Register the handset on various base
stations at your workplace. If the handset has been registered on another base station at
home, you can use the handset both at work and at home. Whether at work or at home,
the handset automatically registers on the nearest base station as long as the "automatic
selection" function has been activated (refer to Chapter 13.2).
