Battery service life
Battery service life becomes shorter depending on the number of battery charges/discharges and use period.
Also, battery capacity decreases even if the battery is not used.
Even if a battery is fully charged, we recommend purchasing a new one when its capacity decreases at a significantly faster rate.
To extend battery service life, pay attention to the following points.
● Charge the battery by the appropriate charging method ( page 18), and store it appropriately.
● Charge the battery when you ride the electric bicycle for the first time or do not ride the electric bicycle for a certain period.
● The desirable temperature for charging is 10°C to 30°C.
● When you charge the battery, take the battery charger out of the carton box to prevent the charger from becoming deformed due to heat
from charging.
● Charge the battery once every three months if you do not use the electric bicycle.

Battery storage

● Store batteries in a dry, well-ventilated location.
● Protect batteries from moisture and water. In unfavorable weather conditions, remove the battery from the electric bicycle, and store it until it
is used again.
● When storing the battery for a long time, store it at room temperature of about 20°C to slow down deterioration of battery capacity.
● When reusing batteries that have not been used for a long time, be sure to fully charge them by the exclusive charger before mounting them
on the electric bicycle. (Batteries can be used only if charged since they will be in the energy save mode.)
● Do not store batteries at locations below -10°C and 40°C or higher. For example, do not leave batteries in cars under the blazing sun in
summer or store them at locations subject to the direct sunlight.
● Do not store batteries while they are still connected to the exclusive charger.
Attention
● When the battery is stored for a long time in a fully discharged state (no remaining battery power left), battery capacity sometimes decreases
considerably as a result of self-discharge or the battery may break. We recommend to charge the battery after riding.
