- Don't ever turn on the device immediately after bringing it from a
cold into a warm day. The emerging condensation may destroy
your device under circumstances. Let the device reach room tem-
perature while still off.
Handling, taking into operation, changing
batteries
A inserting the battery – changing the battery
For the flawless function of your metering device you have to put in
a 9-V block battery. When the battery-change symbol appears on
the upper left side of the display, you have to change the battery.
Therefore proceed as follows:
- turn off the luxmeter and
- remove the battery-case cover carefully by pushing it in the
direction of the arrow.
- separate the used battery from the connection clip and
- replace the battery with a new one from the same type.
- after the battery change took place, putt he connected battery
into the battery case and
- close it thoroughly.
- pay attention that the line of the connection clip (red/black) is
not squeezed when closing the battery case.

Disposal
If the digital luxmeter MS-1500 does not function despite a correct
supply (9V block battery) or if it can not be repaired, it has to be dis-
posed according to the current legal regulations.
Repair of disturbances
With the digital luxmeter MS-1500 you bought a product which is
technically up to date. Nevertheless there may occur problems or
disturbances. That is why the following describes how you can
repair some of these disturbances relatively easy on your own;
always follow the safety instructions!

Maintenance
The metering device is maintenance free except of a temporary
cleaning or a battery change. The battery change is described under
"handling, taking into operation, battery change". For the cleaning
of the device or of the display window take a clean, fuzz free, anti-
static and dry cleaning cloth.
