shows the following parameters:
• Current
• Mat. thickness
• Wire feed
• Welding output

Lights up when the user interface is ready to exchange
data with a mobile phone

Lights up when welding circuit resistance Compensa-
tion Mode is active.

After switch-on

After switch-on, the device always starts in the most recently
used welding process.
After switching on for the first time or after a
i i
master reset, the unit starts in the "M3 Lan-
guage selection" menu.
 Select your language by rotating the operating button
A49.
 Confirm the language selection by pressing the operating
button A49.
Starting in Electrode or TIG welding process
If the device was exited in the Electrode or TIG
i i
welding process, then, for safety reasons, it will
start in the Standby mode of the appropriate
welding method after switch-on.
9 After switching on, the electrode symbol or TIG flashes in
the graphic display A52.
Ensure that the electrode, electrode holder or
TIG torch do not come into contact with the
workpiece or ground cable.
 Exit Standby mode by a brief press of the Welding process
button A32.

Main parameters

Different main parameters are available/setta-
i i
ble, depending on the selected welding pro-
cess.
‰ The value of the following main parameters is displayed in
the left-hand 7-segment display A4.
– Wire feed speed A37
– Welding current A36
– Material thickness A35
 Select the desired value with the control knob A41.
‰ The value of the following main parameters is displayed in
the right-hand 7-segment display A12.
– Welding voltage/arc length in V A19
– Arc length in % A20

Main parameter mode:
Indicates the main parameter values and parameter
abbreviations (independently of the 7-segment dis-
plays A4 and A12).

Tiptronic mode (when Tiptronic On, A46 key):
Indicates the current job set and current job no.

Torch rocker
Main parameter mode:
Changes the main parameter values (depending on
which value is shown on torch display B1).
Tiptronic mode (when Tiptronic On, A46 key):
Switches between active jobs or job sets.

Torch button mode
Main parameter mode:
Press briefly to display the main parameter abbrevia-
tion on torch display B1.
Press briefly again within 2 secs to switch to the next
main parameter.
Tiptronic mode (when Tiptronic On, A46 key):
Press briefly to switch between job selection and job
set selection.
Press and hold (>2 secs) to switch between Tiptronic
mode and main parameter mode for the current job.
The Mode torch button is blocked during the welding
process.
