OPERATION
LEVEL RANGE SELECTION
The level range can be selected between these two level ranges:
· Lo (measurement at 35 - 100 dB) and
· Hi (measurement at 65 – 130 dB)
If one of these measuring ranges is exceeded OVER will be displayed. Now it is necessary to switch
to the other level range.
TIME WEIGHTING SELECTON S/F (SLOW / FAST)
You can select the time weighting FAST or SLOW:
· F (fast response time): for normal measurments; fast varying noise (125 ms)
· S (slow response time): for checking the average level of fluctuating noise (1 s)
ON / OFF BUTTON
A/C WEIGHTING SELECTION
CALIBRATION
Power on the instrument with this switch (move the switch to the right).
A/C weighting selection (move the switch to the right):
· A-weighting = for general sound level measurements
· C-weighting = for checking the low-frequency content of a noise
