OPERATION

Remove the protective cap from the instrument; the instrument automatically switches on.
Press the electrodes into the material as far as possible.
Always measure the wood moisture perpendicular to the fibre structure.
Repeated measuring yields representative measuring data.
When the measuring process is finished reattach the protective cap on the instrument; the instrument
automatically switches off.
DISPLAY INDICATION
a continuous line
= even values, e.g. 2, 4, 6
a dotted line
= uneven values, e. g. 3, 5, 7
If humidity content is over 44 % / 2 % display shows a trend only.
PLEASE NOTE
Characteristics due to growth or type of wood and deviating wood temperatures may make it neces-
sary to correct the displayed values. Measurements should be carried out according to the drying and
weighing / calcium carbid method in the case of inspections or for reference purposes.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
In order to prolong battery life instrument automatically switches off after 15 min. To re-activate the
display press yellow button between the electrodes.

Connect electrodes with T contacts of the protective cap: „O-----B-----O".

CHANGE OF BATTERY
When the battery power becomes low following symbol is displayed: - +
In this case open battery compartment cover and remove it. Replace batteries and take care of correct
polarity. Close battery compartment cover.
