► Press button on battery.
The LEDs glow or flash.
► If the LEDs do not glow or flash: Do not use
the battery and contact your STIHL servicing
dealer.
There is a malfunction in the battery.

12 Operating the Lawn Mower

12.1 Holding and Guiding the Lawn
Mower
► Hold the handlebar with both hands so the
thumbs enclose the handlebar.
12.2

Setting the Cutting Height

Eight cutting heights can be set:
– 25 mm = position 1
– 35 mm = position 2
– 45 mm = Position 3
– 55 mm = Position 4
– 65 mm = Position 5
– 75 mm = Position 6
– 85 mm = Position 7
– 100 mm = Position 8
The positions are indicated on the lawn mower.
Setting the cutting height
► Switch the lawn mower off.
The blade must not be turning.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.

► Pull lever (1) out of the recess and allow it to
engage in the desired position.
12.3

Mowing and mulching

The lawn mower is equipped with a multi-blade
and can be used for mowing and mulching.
► Push the lawn mower forward slowly and in a
controlled manner.
► If a foreign object is hit during mowing or
mulching and the blade is blocked:
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Make sure that all moving parts have come
to a complete stop.
► Check the lawn mower.
► If repairs are required: Contact a STIHL
authorized dealer.
► If the lawn mower begins to vibrate strongly:
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Check the lawn mower.
► Check that all nuts, pins and screws are
securely tightened.
► If repairs are required: Contact a STIHL
authorized dealer.
For optimal performance, observe the recom‐
mended temperature ranges,

► Switch off the lawn mower and place it on a
level surface.
