Improper cleaning
Polymer components can become damaged or brittle
Clean polymer components only with water and a pH-neutral cleaning agent.
2.2 Personnel qualification
Competent expert / inspector: person employed by the owner-operator or a commissioned third party who, on the basis of
their training, knowledge and practical experience, can properly carry out inspections, is familiar with and understands the
operating instructions.
General inspector/competent skilled person: employees of independent companies or experts who are proven to have
the necessary expertise and technical equipment for operation, maintenance and inspection activities and work in accor-
dance with installation instructions and design standards.
Specialist company: a specialist company must have the necessary devices and equipment, as well as competent person-
nel.
Waste disposal company: a specialist waste management company
Qualified electrician: works in accordance with the national regulations for electrical safety

2.3 Intended use
The product is a system for separating grease from domestic or commercial wastewater in accordance with DIN EN 1825.
Grease is defined as substances of plant and/or animal origin with a density below 0.95 g/cm³ that are partially or completely
insoluble in water or are saponifiable. Disposal and maintenance cycles must be complied with for correct operation.
The separators are only intended for installation in the ground outdoors under defined conditions, see "Assembly" chapter.
All water-carrying components of the product must be installed at frost-free depth (for all-year use).
Only the extension sections supplied with the separator may be used, and only if the ambient conditions allow. In cases of
installation in areas of high ground water levels, the groundwater pressure must be taken into consideration.
WARNING
The tank of the separator does not have to be accessed for installation or maintenance purposes.
Nonetheless, if it is necessary to access a tank for unforeseen reasons, all the safety measures for entering cham-
bers must be taken (including testing the air to ensure that it is safe, and forced (mechanical) ventilation of the tank
if necessary, safety harnesses, tripod and look-out personnel.)
The stability of the tank is only ensured for its self-weight, transport and the described installation, in accordance with the
intended use (e.g. load class, road construction). Additional loads from single strip footings, or other external actions must be
avoided. If such actions are to be expected, it may be necessary to take special measures.
Any of the following actions that are not expressly authorised in writing by the manufacturer can invalidate the war-
ranty:
