d) Driving the vehicle
• Improper use can cause serious injury and damage to property!
• Only use the vehicle when you are fully alert and able to respond. As is the case when driving a real
vehicle, fatigue, alcohol or medications can affect your ability to respond.
• This model vehicle must not be used on public roads, spaces or paths. Do not use the vehicle on private
land without the landowner's permission.
• Never use the model in an area that may endanger other people, animals or objects. Do not drive
towards people or animals!
• Before using the vehicle in a specially designated area (e.g. model car racing/rally track), ask the opera-
tor for permission.
• Avoid driving in very low outdoor temperatures. Plastic parts lose their elasticity in cold temperatures.
This can result in serious damage even after a minor accident.
• Do not use the vehicle during thunderstorms, under high-voltage power lines or next to radio masts.
• Protect the vehicle, battery and remote control from moisture and dirt. Do not expose the remote control
to direct sunlight or excessive heat for prolonged periods.
• Always leave the remote control turned on when the vehicle is in use.
• In the event of a fault, discontinue use immediately and establish the cause of the problem before using
the model again.
• Always switch the vehicle off before switching off the remote control.
• If you do not plan to drive the vehicle for an extended period of time (e.g. during storage), disconnect
the battery from the vehicle, otherwise the battery may overdischarge and be permanently damaged.
• If the batteries in the remote control are weak, the range will decrease and the vehicle may not respond
properly to remote control commands. If this occurs, stop driving the vehicle and switch it off, and then
replace the batteries in the remote control.
• When the vehicle battery is nearly empty, the vehicle will slow down and may not respond properly to
the remote control. The vehicle battery powers the motor via the built-in speed controller, as well as the
receiver and the steering servo.
If the voltage in the vehicle battery is too low, this affects the receiver and may cause the vehicle to stop
responding to remote control commands.
In this case, stop driving the vehicle immediately (switch the vehicle and remote control off). Recharge
the vehicle battery or replace it with a fully charged battery. Allow the battery to cool down completely
before charging.
• The engine, drive, electronic components and vehicle battery heat up during use. Pause for at least 5–10
minutes before changing the battery.
