Cleaning and storage
❐ Warning! Risk of injury! The cutting blades on the blade attach-
ment are very sharp! Be careful when handling the blades.
❐ Attention! Never immerse the device, the mains cord or the plug in water.
❐ Before cleaning the device remove the plug from the mains socket and allow the
device to cool down completely.
❐ Do not use any caustic or abrasive agents or cleaning pads to clean the device.
These may damage the device.
❐ The motor unit and blade unit are not suitable for dishwasher use! All other
accessories are suitable for dishwasher use.
•
If you would like to clean the housing, wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it
with a dry cloth.
•
Remove all food residues from the blade unit after every use. For this purpose, you can
use the enclosed cleaning cup: Simply fi ll water and a mild detergent in the cleaning cup and
proceed just like if you want to blend ingredients (see section "Use").
•
In case that you cannot remove food residues on the cutting blades by using the cleaning cup,
you can remove the blade unit from the device:
1. If necessary, remove the blending jar from the device (see section „Use"). The jar has to
point downwards.
2. Swivel the motor unit upwards.
4. Remove the blade unit from the motor unit by lifting it up and clean it under running,
warm water. If necessary you can add a mild detergent.
5. Allow the blade unit to dry completely and attach it afterwards to the motor unit again.
The arrow marking has to point at the open lock.
•
All other accessories can also be cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent.
•
Allow all parts of the device and accessories to dry completely before you store the device in
a clean and dry place that is inaccessible to children.
3. Turn the blade unit clockwise by holding it on the bottom edge,
til the arrow marking of the motor unit points at the marking of
the open lock. Make sure that you do not touch the blades when
turning the blade unit!
6. Turn the blade unit counterclockwise, til the arrow marking
points exactly at the closed clock. The blade unit is now securely
into place.
