❐ The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children. The mains
lead must also be kept out of the reach of children. Otherwise they might use the
lead to pull the device down on themselves.
Health-Specifi c Safety Instructions
❐ There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful ef-
fects to your health, clean the appliance thoroughly before using it for the fi rst time
(see the section on "Cleaning and Storage").
❐ Risk of food poisoning: Never store food longer than indicated by the best before
date.

Setting up and Connection

❐ The device should only be used in closed rooms.
❐ Always place the device on a level and solid surface.
❐ Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
in order to avoid damage to the device.
❐ In order to avoid electric shocks do not use the device near water or other liquids.
❐ Never operate the device on a hob or close to a gas source.
❐ The device should only be connected to a properly installed socket with earthing
contacts. The device must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains
voltage must be the same as that stated in the technical data of the device. Only use
suitable extension leads whose technical data is the same as those of the device.
❐ Ensure that it is not possible for others to trip over the connected mains lead. Do
not allow the lead to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may
become caught and pull the device down.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature
fl uctuations, direct sunlight or moisture.

Use

❐ Check the device for damage every time you use it. If the device, lead or plug
shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use the device
if it has malfunctioned or been dropped.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the
manufacturer.
❐ If the device is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In cases of damage,
please contact the customer service department (see the section on "Customer
Service").
❐ Never leave the device unsupervised during operation!
❐ If hot ingredients are added to the device for processing, their temperature should
not exceed 85°C.
❐ Do not operate the device a longer period of time without stopping. The average
processing time for chopping food should not exceed 10-20 seconds. Allow the
device to cool down at ambient temperature before using it again.
