Place the casing in the opening and make sure the gas pipe
is front right. The gas pipe needs to be fed into the
appliance on the right-hand side at the front. A flexible
hose has been provided for easy connection. This is an
integral part of the appliance and may only be replaced by
an approved hose.
• Slide the flue outlet pipes into the chimney and secure
them so that there is sufficient space below to be able to
slide the outer casing into the fireplace.
• Slide the casing into the correct position in the fireplace.
• Fit the outlet piece.
• Slide the interior into the casing and mount the bracket
with TTB, in the bottom centre of the casing.
• Slide the appliance back into the casing and fix in
position with the socket-head screws.
• Connect the gas hose to the gas block and slide the
burner unit into the bottom of the interior. The appliance
needs a good supply of air for optimum combustion. If
there is not enough air, because all draughts have been
excluded or all means of ventilation have been closed or
shut off, for example, and/or because a mechanical
extraction system such as a cooker hood extracts too
much air, a permanent means of ventilation must be fitted
in the room in which the heater is to be installed. If a
mechanical extractor has been fitted in the home then
mechanical extraction must also be fitted for the
appliance, to prevent a lack of oxygen in the home.
Please refer to the gas installation regulations and any
relevant legislation enforced locally.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
NB:To ensure the ignition works properly, the
ignition wire must come into as little contact as
possible with the metal parts of the heater and
should therefore not be wound round the gas or
pilot-light pipes or the thermocouple

Mantel iron

An L-shaped mantel Iron can be ordered from your
installer. The mantel Iron, intended to support the
brickwork above the fire.This enables a stress-free
installation of the appliance. Fit the mantel iron as
illustrated in fig. 3, allowing 5 mm between the top of the
appliance and the bottom of the mantel iron, so that the
packing cord provided seals adequately. Make sure that the
front of the heater (without the decorative facing) and
the front of the mantel iron are flush. Fitting the
decorative facing will hide the mantel iron from sight.

Convection fan

Because of its capacity, the heater is fitted with a
convection fan.To avoid a draught, this is not switched on
until the heater has reached the required temperature.
The fan speed can be regulated with the switch, (setting 1
or 2), but the fan will never run at less than the minimum
speed.
Under the heater is a summer / winter switch so that you
can still have the fan on when the heater is not in use.
