2. Incliner la machine du cote droit.

4. Washthefuelfilterinfreshgasoline and
check it for damage. A damaged one
shouldbe replacedwith a new one.

Caution:
- Gasolineis veryflammable and explo-
sive. Avoid smoking and never allow
openflame or sparks around the ma-
chine.
- Select a well-ventilated place for this
operation.
INSPECTION OF THE BLADE
A broken or deformed blade is very
dangerous.
It
will cause uneven mow-
ing andabnormalvibration,whichmay
lead to breakdown.

Caution:
- Stop the engine without fail before
servicingthe blade. Moreover, remove
the sparkplug capto avoid accidental
engine starting.
- When tilting the machine to service
the blade orfor other purposes, wear
thick gloves to avoid injury.
2. Tilt the machineon its right-handside.
Important:
Tilt the machine only on its right-hand
side, or difficult engine starting will
result.
3. Remove the blade tighteningbolts and
detach the blade.
4. Check the blade for thickness, sharp-
ness of the cutting edges, and balance.
5. Whensharpening thecuttingedges,file
the top side only and keep the original
bevel.Bothedgesshouldbe filed to the

Attention:
L'essence est tres inflammable. Ne
pas fumer pendant cette operation,ni
ti proximite de la machine. Choisirun
endroit correctementventile.
VERIFICATION DE LA LAME
Une lame cassee, abimee ou deformee
est tres dangereuse.
Elle sera cause d'une tonte inegale et
engendrera des vibrationspouvant en-
dommagerla tondeuse.

Attention:
- Arrtter
systematiquement Ie moteur
pour inspecterla lame. DebrancberIe
capuchon de bougie pour evlter tout
dematrage intempestif du moteur.
- Porterdesgants de travailpour nepas
se blesserau contactde la lame.
Important:
N' inclinerlamachine quedu cOtedroit.
pour eviterpar la suite les demarrages
difficiles.
3. Oter les boulons de fixation et enlever
lalame.
4. Verifier
l'
epaisseur,
l'
affutage et
I'equilibragede la lame.
5. Lors de
l'
affutage de la lame, limer
uniquementle cotesuperieurdela lame
afin de lui garder son biseau d' origine.
Les 2 extremites doivent etre affutees
