1. CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The cutting height can be adjusted in 6
steps [from I". (25 mm) to 3.5" (89
mm)] by manipulating the cutting
height adjustors. An adjustor is in-
stalled on each of the four wheels. Each
adjustor can be manipulated independ-
ently from those of other wheels.

a. Put a protective cloth on the housing,
wear thick gloves, and lift up the
mower a little.
b. Turn the lever to the required position
while pulling the lever outwards so
that it is securely seated
in the adjustor
guide.
c. Adjust all four wheels to the same
height.

Caution:
.. Stop the engine without fail before
adjustment.
- Avoidtouching the muffler just after
operation as it is very hot and may
cause burns.
Note:
When mowing tall grass, start with a
high cutting height. Then lower the
heightstepby step.
2. ADJUSTMENT OF THE SPEED SHIFT
LEVER
The travelling speed should be selected
according to the operator's walking
speed and the condition of the grass to
be mowed: "I" for low speed and "2"
for high speed.

Pour couper de

mencer la tonte avec une hauteur de
coupe appropriee, puisladiminuer par
palierssuccessifs.
2. UTILISATION DU LEVIER DE CHANGE·
MENT DE VITESSE
La vitesse de deplacernent doit etre
accordee a la marche de l'utilisateur et
aux conditions de tonte,
