Wear full eye and hearing protection while

operating the product. If working in an area
where there is a risk of falling objects, head
protection must be worn.
Wear
heavy
long

protective footwear and gloves. Do not
wear loose fitting clothing, short trousers,
jewellery of any kind, or use with bare feet.
Before use, check that there are no

damaged parts. A defective switch or any
part that is damaged should be properly
repaired or replaced by an authorised
service facility.
Consider the environment in which you are
■
working. Keep the working area free from
wires, sticks, stones and debris.
Clear the work area before each use.

Remove all objects, such as rocks, broken
glass, nails, wire that can lead to accidents.
Make sure the trimmer head is properly
■
installed and securely fastened. Make sure
the cutting blade is properly installed and
securely fastened.
Make sure all guards, deflectors and
■
handles are properly and securely attached.
OPERATION
Some regions have regulations that restrict
■
the use of the product. Check with your
local authority for advice.
Beware of thrown objects. Keep all
■
bystanders, children, and pets at least 15
m away from work area.
Use the product in daylight or good artificial
■
light.
Avoid using on wet grass.
■
Keep proper footing and balance at all
■
times.
Do not walk backwards when trimming.
■
Walk, never run.
■
Keep the blade away from body and below
■
waist. Keep the trimmer head below waist
level.
Do not cut on surfaces other than grass on
■
ground.
Never operate the product with damaged
■
guards or without guards in place.
Never fit a metal replacement line.
■
Keep hands and feet away from the cutting
■
means at all times and especially when
switching on the product.
Never pick up or carry the product by the
■

trousers,
non-slip
electric cable.
Beware, the cutting elements continue to
■
rotate after the motor is switched off.
Beware of objects thrown by the cutting
■
line.
Keep extension cords away from the
■
cutting elements.
Blade thrust may occur without warning
■
if the blade snags, stalls or binds. Blade
thrust is the reaction that may occur when
the spinning blade contacts anything it
cannot cut. This contact may cause the
blade to stop for an instant, and suddenly
"thrust" the unit away from the object
that was hit. This reaction can be violent
enough to cause the operator to lose
control of the unit. Make sure the work
area has ample lighting to see the work
and that no obstructions will interfere with
safe operation before performing any work
using your tool.
Switch off and disconnect from the power

changing accessories

checking for any damage after hitting an

checking for any damage if the product

starts to vibrate abnormally
performing maintenance

Take frequent work breaks. Change your

working position from time to time.
