• The fuel tank cap for servicing is a fully sealed tank
cap. This fuel tank cap must only be used during
service, to prevent leakage of fuel.
Note: The engine stops if the fuel tank cap for
servicing is used for operation. With a fully sealed
tank cap there is no suction of fuel from the engine.
Note: An alternative decal for the sealed tank cap is
supplied with the product.
To do before you operate the product
1. Read the operator's manual carefully and make sure
that you understand the instructions.
2. Use personal protective equipment. Refer to
Personal protective equipment on page 5 .
3. Do daily maintenance. Refer to
schedule on page 13 .
4. Make sure that the product is assembled correctly
and is not damaged.
5. Put the grinder on the work area. Make sure that the
surface is horizontal.
6. Make sure that there are diamond tools on the
grinding head and that they are tightly attached.
7. Connect the dust extractor to the product. Refer to
To connect a dust extractor on page 11 .
8. Adjust the handlebar to an applicable operation
height. Refer to To adjust the handlebar on page 8 .
9. Fill the fuel tank. Refer to
10. Install the fuel tank cap that has venting.
11. Do a check of the oil level. Refer to
the oil level on page 13 .

To start the product

1. Open the fuel valve.
2. Set the throttle control in the correct position. Refer
Throttle control on page 11 .

a) If you start with a cold engine, move the throttle
control to the start position.
b) If you start with a warm engine, move the throttle
control to the operation mode position.

3. Tilt the grinding head and pull the startup support
handle, to lift the diamond tools from the surface.
4. Hold the operator presence control against the
handlebar with your left hand.
5. Pull the starter rope handle with your right hand.
6. When the engine operates smoothly, move the
throttle control to operation mode position.
7. Move the product forward to release the startup
support and lower the diamond tools.

To stop the product

CAUTION: Do not lift the tool plate from the
surface until the engine is fully stopped.
Dust can go into the air and the surface can
become damaged.
