6.4 RS-232 Communication Port Definition

Notes:
• The USB, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces cannot be used simultaneously. Only one interface can be used at a time.
• These three communication ports use a MODBUS protocol. Refer to the S3M10-20kVA 3-Phase MODBUS Owner's Manual.
The RS-232 port is a male connector.

• Timing off/on setting
• One-to-one communication, UPS to computer, at a distance less than 5 m

• Baud rate: 9600 bps
• Byte length: 8 bit
• End bit: 1 bit
• Parity check: None
6.5 RS-485 Communication Port Definition
Notes:
• The USB, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces cannot be used simultaneously. Only one interface can be used at a time.
• These three communication ports use a MODBUS protocol. Refer to the S3M10-20kVA 3-Phase MODBUS Owner's Manual.
• This port may also be used with an external battery thermostat. Refer to section 6.6 BAT_T Communication Port Definition.
The RS-458 Port is a female connector.
