13. TROUBLESHOOTING

Hard water

The device is not using any salt
The device is using far too much salt
There is too much water being used
1) Check that valve 2 (bypass valve) isn't open.
2) Check that the water softener is plugged in, that there is power
running to the power outlet (no main switch).
3) Check to see whether there are still salt tablets in the salt tank.
> Trigger regeneration to see whether the device is working normal-
ly.
4) Significant increase in water consumption, one extra person in
the house
> The water softener cannot keep up with the demand for water.
Contact the after-sales department.
5) Increased hardness at the inlet of the water softener > the water
softener's capacity is insufficient.
Contact the after-sales department.
1) Check that the water softener is plugged in.
2) Check to see whether your water softener is not in holiday mode.
The display will tell you
phase 05 (rinsing phase).
3) Call the after-sales department if the problem is not being
caused by the first two points.
1) Do you have more people in the house?
2) Check to see whether the leak alert has not been triggered, this
will tell you whether there is a major leak in your system. If that is
not the case,
3) Check for minor leaks in your system: if the alert wasn't triggered
by the water meter, disable the water softener via the bypass
4) Call the after-sales department if the problem is not being
caused by the first three points.
