5. Connect the two flexible tubes to the system,
using the ¾'' rubber gaskets'.
6. Put the valve in bypass position.
7. Open the water meter.
Make sure that the flexible tubes are watertight.
8. Gradually open the bypass valve and check
whether the system is watertight.

c.3. Optional

You can create a bypass on the system, using
3 x 3/4» valves (ball valves with complete
opening) on the mains water pipe after the
water meter.

3.2 Fitting the pressure regulator

The water softener comes with a pressure reducing valve.
!
You will find this valve in the salt tank.
a. Install the pressure reducing valve in accordance with the instructions that came with it (check position and adjustment)
after the inlet valve (1) (p 10 and p 11 c.1.).
b. Remove the protective caps at the entrance and exit of the water softener.
c. Connect the lower hose to the pressure reducing valve and the upper hose to valve 3 / or the system.

3.3. Wastewater connection and overflow pipes

a. Connect the regeneration water discharge hose above the syphon which also has a funnel.
b. Connect the overflow hoses in the salt tank to the nozzles and secure these two hoses above the
syphon. The overflow hoses (see figure 1+3) must always run downwards over their entire length.
c. For reasons of hygiene, avoid any direct contact between the discharge and overflow hoses and
the syphon.
In accordance with the Belgaqua technical provisions, there must be a space of 2cm between
the syphon tubes and the discharge and overflow hoses.
It is forbidden to connect the discharge hose and the overflow hoses to a T-piece.
During assembly, the discharge hose must slope downwards to the syphon to prevent water
stagnating in the hoses. Try to keep them straight across the entire length with the help of
brackets, to prevent water stagnating.
The ideal, overall height, from floor level, of the outlet (syphon + funnel) should not exceed 45 cm.
In the event that it is not possible to place the trap near the softener :
1) If the trap is more than 90 cm away, use a ½" garden hose to extend these pipes if necessary.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO REMOVE THE ORIGINAL DISCHARGE PIPE
!
2) If the trap is located above the water discharge pipe, make sure that the operating pressure is sufficient.
For a higher connection, the minimum pressure must be 3 bar. 1 bar more is needed for every meter of height.
The maximum authorised height is 3 meters.
-> Operating pressure - 1 = number of meters in height.
The end of the discharge pipe must end with a downward slope to prevent backflow of the outlet water.

3.4. Power supply

Fit a 230V/50Hz socket.
The length of the 230/12V transformer cable is 1.40m
