The STO function can be requested by different devices. Switch 1 can be used e.g. as an emergency
stop switch, a light curtain or a safety switching device. The safety requirement takes place over 2
channels via switch S1 and causes a 2-channel switching off of the voltage supply of the motor. This is
displayed by the potential-free diagnostics contact.
