Maintenance instructions

While the equipment is live, maintenance work may only be carried out by a qualified
CAUTION
engineer.
It may be possible to rectify faults in the equipment using the Check List in chapter 10.
The measuring unit is protected against interference in accordance with the NAMUR
Recommendations NE21.
9.2

Maintenance work

Maintenance work on the
transverse hole of the measuring calotte at specific intervals, and if necessary, cleaning it.
The LMIT 08
passed through the transverse hole of the measuring calotte. The loop resistance which is
chosen according to the measuring range simulates a conductive liquid.
As accessory you can get a conductivity simulator with the resistance values of the following
table. (order No. 289190)
If the conductivity displayed deviates from the set value (see Table), then recalibration of the

can be carried out in calibration mode (see chapter 8.5.1)

When checking the conductivity indication, the adjusted tank factor (1.007) must be taken
into consideration.
To check the conductivity indication within the measurement range of 200 µS/cm, we
recommend you to perform it in the flow armature.
NOTE
Therefore, install the measuring cell for "zero-point control" without loop resistance and for
the "control of the final value of the measurement range" with the respective loop
resistance of 38.3 kΏ (art. no. 289191) into the flow armature.
In case of deviation from the reference value, recalibration is possible (as described in
chapter 8.5.5.
