Packaging disposal

Disposal of unit packaging must be carried out taking
care to separate the following materials:
• Paper and Cardboard.
• Wood Packaging – The packages are not chemically
treated unless they are declared "fumigated".
• Plastic pallets - high density polyethylene PEHD.
• Plastic films - polyethylene PE.
• Polystyrene - expanded polystyrene EPS 6.
Disposal of substances during maintenance opera-
tions (if any)
Before starting operations, make sure that the unit has
been disconnected from the electrical mains.
• During the life cycle of the unit, if it is required to
empty the refrigeration system, it is mandatory to
recover the refrigerant gas. This operation must only be
carried out by authorised personnel in accordance with
the requirements of EC regulation 517/2014. The types
of gas used are shown in the following table.
• If it is required to replace the compressor oil, it must
be disposed of by following the instructions below.
• The air filters must be disposed of depending on the
substances they contain from the environment in which
the units operate.
• The gas filters must be disposed of as materials con-
taminated by the following types of oil.
Disposal of the unit at the end of its lifespan
Before starting operations, make sure that the unit has
been disconnected from the electrical mains. Disposal
of the unit must be carried out taking care to separate
the following materials:
• Refrigerant - The refrigerants used are not harmful
to stratospheric ozone but contribute to aggravating
global warming. It is therefore mandatory to recover the
refrigerant gas before dismantling the unit. This opera-
tion must exclusively be carried out by authorised
personnel in accordance with the requirements of EC
regulation 517/2014.

• Metals - (Painted, galvanised, plasticised steel struc-
tures, galvanised steel pipes, copper/copper/galva-
nised steel, copper/aluminium/galvanised steel, alu-
minium/aluminium, steel, painted steel/copper heat
exchangers, hydraulic valves, brass fittings).
• Copper piping - may contain traces of oil.
• Insulating and sound absorbing materials.

• Electrical and electronic components (pumps,
fans, oil-free compressors, electronic boards, servo-
motors, electrical heating elements, electrical panel
components).
• Cables and wiring.
• Oil contained in the compressors - is based on pol-
yester (POE) or on polyvinyl ether (PVE). Refer to the
label affixed on the compressor.
• Plastics parts - The plastic parts relevant for weight
are shown in the table below:
Substance description
Terpolymer acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene
Polystyrene homopolymer
Polycarbonate from bisphenol A

12. Troubleshooting

Excessive condensate formation
• Check that there are no openings in the cabinet or
that it is not sufficiently airtight.
→ Remove the causes of the non airtightness of the
electrical panel.
• Check that the sealing gasket between the air condi-
tioner and the cabinet is correctly applied.
→ Reposition the gasket correctly.
The unit does not cool sufficiently
• Check that the evaporator and condenser, or that the
filter (if present) are not dirty.
→ Clean the evaporator or condenser, or clean or
replace the filter (if present).
• Check that there are no obstacles/causes that limit
airflow.
→ Eliminate the causes for short circuit of the air or that
prevent correct airflow and make sure that the mini-
mum external and internal distances indicated in the
manual are complied with.
• Presence of high temperature or low temperature
alarm.
→ Check that the temperatures are within the operat-
ing range, check the set point parameters.
The unit does not cool
No voltage to the unit:
• Check that voltage is present.
• The refrigerant circuit is low or faulty compressor or a
faulty thermostatic valve (if present):
→ Consult a refrigeration technician or the ELDON
technical support.
In case of operation of the high pressure switch or com-
pressor circuit breaker:
