Electrical connections

WARNING
Operations on the unit can only be performed by
specialised and authorised personnel.
WARNING
Disconnect the power supply before performing
any intervention on the unit.
WARNING
Before making any connection, it is essential to
check the power supply voltage and frequency
that must match that on the unit plate.
WARNING
Check correct phase sequence (in the three-phase
models).
WARNING
Check correct connection of the + and - polarities
(in 48Vdc models).
WARNING
The plant must be equipped with an effective
earthing connection.
WARNING
The user is responsible for supplying and installing
an automatic disconnection switch as described
in the technical plate, upstream of the unit, to be
able to operate on the appliance in the absence of
voltage.
WARNING
It is forbidden to bypass the safety devices. The
change, in addition to being dangerous, immedi-
ately renders the product warranty null and void.

WARNING
The power supply connector, when present, can
only be inserted or removed when the air condi-
tioner is not powered.

For units with electronic fans. In case of connec-
tion of leakage current protection devices, comply
with EN 50178 5.2.11.2. Only universal IF automatic
switches (type B) are allowed.
WARNING
No additional thermostat can be inserted upstream
of the device power supply.
If the phase sequence relay is not present in the three-
phase models, it is recommended to implement it
externally upstream of the air conditioner power sup-
ply. As an upstream protection of the power supply line
of the air conditioner, it is mandatory to install (by the
installer) a protection device for short circuit (delayed
or magnetothermal fuse with class C curve for voltag-
es less than or equal to 230Vac and 48Vdc, delayed or
magnetothermal fuse with class D curve for voltages
greater than 230V, with operation value as shown on
the technical data sheet or on the date label of the unit).
To select the type of protection upstream of the UL air
conditioner, refer to the standards used for approval
of the panel (by the installer). The connection to the
mains must be made via an omnipolar cut-out switch,
or motor protection, installed by the user, with at least
3 mm between the open contacts. Check that the con-
nection cables are of a section suitable for the power
and distance of the air conditioner. The unit does not
have an overvoltage protection device. The user must
therefore implement effective protection measures
on the power supply side against overvoltage and
electrocution.
