7. Mechanical mounting
• Mechanical �ounting o� the sa�et�� rela�� is to be per�or�ed pro�essionall�� at a suitable �ounting location.
• Do not install the switching unit in the i��ediate vicinit�� o� strong sources o� heat.
• The switching unit �a�� be �ounted in an�� orientation. To prevent �oisture penetration, it should, however,
be installed so that the cable conduits point downward.

8. Electrical connection

• The switching unit enables operation at 24 V DC. Connecting the operating voltage to the wrong ter�inals
can destro�� the switching unit.
• The suppl�� voltage �ust co�pl�� with the require�ents �or sa�et�� low voltage (SELV).
• Cables installed outdoors or outside o� the switching cabinet �ust be protected appropriatel��.
• For capacitive and inductive loads, ensure adequate protective circuits.

With the ISK 70-755, the controller �ust �ake available +24 V DC at
connector pin 3 and GND at connector pin 4

8.2 Connecting the stationary coil core

Connect the stationar�� coil core to pin 1, 2; no special attention is
required �or polarit��.
The cable �or the coil core is connected using the supplied cri�p
connectors or b�� directl�� soldering the wire to the connectors.

8.3 Connecting the control circuits

Available at pins 5, 6 is the control circuit to be �onitored �or the
closing �ove�ent (Stop Closing); available at pins 7, 8 is the corres-
ponding control circuit �or the opening �ove�ent (Stop Opening).

8.4 Test signal

Pin 9 is used as the input �or the test signal o� the controller to check
�or the proper �unction o� the ISK s��ste� prior to a dangerous �ove-
ment

The contact is powered b�� an internal resistor to 5V level. B�� appl��-
ing a GND signal, an externall�� requested test is per�or�ed.
For the design o� the protection to con�or� to engineer standards
(categor�� 2 with external test request), the protection �ust be
tested prior to each dangerous �ove�ent or during the non-dan-
gerous phase/�ove�ent o� the �achine. The test is intended to
ensure the proper �unction o� the sa�et�� rela��.
