b) Checking the servo lever positions
• Before mounting the wings, you need to check the
correct position of both servo levers.
• First start the transmitter and make sure that the
operating lever for the engine function (see ill 3, pos.
12) is in the bottom position. The function switch on the
engine (1) must be in the "OFF" position.
• On the bottom of the fuselage, twist the two locking
latches (2) of the battery compartment cover to the side
and lift off the cover using the grip notch (3) on the rear.
• The flight battery (4) is connected to the flight control
the same way as with the charger.
A plug protected against wrong polarity on the flight
control (5) ensures the correct connection of the flight
battery.
• Then push the function switch of the model (see Fig.
7a, Pos. 1) from the rear position "OFF" into the front
position "ON" in order to switch on the reception system
in the model.
Attention important!
As long as the release key for the engine function (see Fig. 7a, pos. 6) is not pressed, the drive engine
will also not start.
If you later press the button during operation in order to activate the engine control, you first have to
ensure that the operating lever for the engine function (see ill. 3, pos. 12) is in the lowest position
(engine off).
If this is not the case, the engine would immediately start when operating the key.
Now check the function and center position of the rudder
and the elevator servo (7 and 8).
• If the two controls (see ill. 2, pos. 3 and 10) are not
operated, and if the corresponding trim levers (see ill. 2,
pos. 9 and 4) are in central position, both servo levers
(9) should be at a 90° angle to the linkage rods (10).
• This is the only way to ensure an equal rudder movement
in both directions.
• Slight slants can be corrected with the trim on the
transmitter.
