Fastening the iSTM to the robot
NOTE
• The iSTM mount may only be put into operation by trained personnel.
• For the correct attachment of the iSTM mount and the cable assembly, set
the 4th, 5th and 6th axes of the robot as follows:
4th axis = neutral position, 5th axis = inclined by 10°, 6th axis = neutral
position
This chapter gives you all the information that must be taken into account when
putting the iSTM into operation.

NOTE
• To fasten the iSTM mount to the robot, a robot flange is required. It must
correspond to the hole pattern of the iSTM and of the robot.
• Ensure correct position of the cylindrical pin (4). It specifies the reference
position, relative to the robot.
1 Fasten the insulating flange (8) in reference position to the robot (7) using
cylinder screws (9) and cylindrical pin (4).
Tightening torque M= 3 Nm.
2 Mount the retaining ring(11), lock ring (1) and the complete insulating
sleeve (2). Make sure that the pin position of the clamp (6) is correct.
3 Join the two halves of the clamp (6) and fasten to the robot (7) using the
cylinder screws (5).
