Pairing an external device

Proceed as follows to pair an external device (e.g. a smartphone or tablet) with the DIGITRADIO 451 CD IR:
> Start Bluetooth mode as described in Section 11.1.
> You can start the pairing process on the radio via Menu > Set Up Bluetooth.
> Now start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices on your external device. You may need to enable the Bluetooth feature
on your external device first.
You can find out how to activate the Bluetooth function and carry out a search on your external device by consulting the
instruction manual for your external device.
The two devices should be within 10 cm of each other during the pairing process.
> The entry DIGITRADIO 451 CD IR should now appear in the list of Bluetooth devices found on your external device. Tap
on the name of the radio to complete the pairing process. If the pairing process has completed successfully, [Connected]
appears in the display.
Depending on the Bluetooth protocol for your external device, you can control the music playback via the playback
buttons.

Search backwards
Search forwards
Bluetooth volume
Alternatively you can use the playback controls in the music app on your external device.
You can use Menu > Show Details to display information about the DIGITRADIO 451 CD IR Bluetooth, the connected
device and a list of paired devices, as well as establish a connection to one of the paired devices.
- Play/Pause button
- Skip to next track button
- Skip to previous track button
- Hold down Rewind button
- Hold down Fast Forward button
- VOLUME/ knob on the device or VOL+/- on the remote control
