Using Headphones

Damage to hearing!
Do not listen to the radio at high volume with headphones. Doing so can cause permanent hearing damage. Turn down the
radio volume to the lowest level before using headphones.
Only use headphones with a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug.

Insert the headphone plug into the headphone socket on the back of the device. Sound is now played exclusively
through the headphones; the loudspeaker is muted.
>
If you want to use the speakers again, unplug the headphones from the headphone socket on the device.

General device functions

4.4.1

Switching on the device

To ensure good DAB+/FM reception, please fully extend the antenna located on the rear of the device. When doing so
please note Section 4.3.3 as well.

First prepare the DIGITRADIO for operation as described in Sections 4.3.1 and 4.3.3.

To switch on the DIGITRADIO 451 CD IR, press the VOLUME/
control (1).
4.4.2

Switching off the device

To switch off the device, press the VOLUME/
date and time are shown on the display. You can adjust the display brightness in standby mode as described in Section
15.4.
You can also switch off the WLAN connection in standby by holding down the VOLUME/
Standby on the remote control (1) as the device is switched off. The next time you switch on, the WLAN connection will
be automatically re-established.
