Incorrect ECG measuring methods

NEVER take an ECG measurement if:
The right index finger is not
in sufficient contact with the
upper electrode.
The ECG stick is upside
down.

Evaluating ECG measured values

Once you have taken the measurement, the following results may appear on the LCD display.
ECG recording is OK.
Indicates a decreased heart
rate (bradycardia) of less than
60 [bpm].
A flashing heart rate on the display indicates unstable or weak ECG signals. In this case, please
repeat the measurement.

doctor" document included with your device.
The measurement is being taken
through clothing.
The left index finger is not in
sufficient contact with the upper
electrode.
Indicates atrial fibrillation (also read Atri-
al fibrillation at Evaluating blood pressure
measurement results).
Indicates an increased heart rate (tachycar-
dia) of greater than 100 [bpm].
