Ergänzungsinformation für Batik Collection
Bei Juzo Kompressionsprodukten in Batik-Design
handelt es sich um Unikate. Die Farbmusterung der
handgefertigten Einzelstücke ist einzigartig und kann
daher nicht reproduziert werden. Auch kann es zu
geringfügigen Farbveränderungen nach dem ersten
Waschen kommen. Durch das Herstellungsverfahren
entsteht die typische Knitteroptik. Diese ist nur am un-
getragenen Produkt, nicht aber im getragenen Zustand
zu sehen. Aufgrund der speziellen Färbetechnik sind
diese Kompressionsprodukte in ungetragenem Zustand
etwas länger als Produkte ohne Batik-Design. Dies hat
jedoch keinen Einfluss auf die Passgenauigkeit und
medizinische Wirksamkeit.

Purpose
The consistent application of uniform surface pressure by
the compression garments has a beneficial effect on scar
maturation and development. Therapeutic application
of compression garments results in decreased blood
circulation and increased tissue elasticity. The aim
is to reduce the risk of the formation of hypertrophic
scars and / or keloids or achieve a reduction in their
appearance. The objective of compression therapy is
to flatten the scar, increase tissue elasticity and reduce
scar rigidity.
Notes for application
For compression stockings / pantyhose with open
toes, use the Juzo Slippie Donning aid. Your specialist
retailer will gladly show you the correct way to apply the
product. Wear your compression garments for 23 hours
non-stop (or as advised by your doctor). Compression
garments offer a UPF 30 UV protection factor. The UV
protection only applies to those body regions that are
covered with compression garments. Rough, unfiled
finger nails or sharp-edged rings etc. may damage the
very fine knitted fabric. Therefore please use Juzo Spe-
cial Gloves. Toe nails and calluses can cause damage,
as can defective inner lining of shoes. For stockings with
a silicone border, please note: legs should be depilated
and free from oils, powder, creams and ointments. In
order to increase the wearing comfort of your compres-
sion garments, you can hoist the silicone border a little
(if there is one) a number of times during wearing. Put
on your products for the lower extremities while sitting
down to prevent injuries or falling.
Compression stockings
1. Pull the stocking over your forearm and hold on to the
foot section from the inside with your fingers. Turn the
stocking inside out by pulling it out as far as the heel.
2. Using both hands, stretch open the opening and pull
the foot section over your foot as far as the instep.
Make sure that the heel fabric is sitting on the heel.
3. Gradually pull the stocking further over your foot – as
you do so, you will also turn it back the right way out.
4. Now pull up the stocking evenly and free from any
wrinkles – without twisting it or pulling at the edges –
and at the same time apply it to your leg with the flat
of your hand. If you have pulled the stocking up too
high, simply push it back down to the ankle and then
pull it up again with less strength. Tip: fold over the
silicone border before donning (if applicable).
Compression tights
5. Turn inside out as far as the heel, slip in the first leg as
described in steps 2 and 3 and fit to below the knee.
6. Repeat the procedure with your other leg.
7. Once you have put the tights on both legs to below
the knees, turn both sides the right way out again and
pull them up both legs bit by bit. Then adjust the sit of
the knitted fabric with the flat of your hand.
8. Now pull the body part up to your waist. Make sure
that the gusset is positioned vertically in the crotch.
Caution: do not excessively stretch your compression
stockings / pantyhose! The compression stockings
are moulded to the leg from the bottom to the top
in stages.
Please note:
Only wear compression garments if they have been pre-
scribed by a doctor. Compression garments should only
be dispensed by properly trained staff at a medical re-
tailer. Progressing the success of treatment or a change
in condition means that the compression garments will
have to be remeasured, and, if necessary, new items
will need to be made. With products for small children,
the fit of the compression garments should be checked
more regularly. Your compression garments are largely
resistant to oils, ointments, skin moisture and other envi-
ronmental influences. The durability of the knitted fabric
may be affected by certain combinations of the above.
This is why it is advisable to have your compression
garments checked regularly at a medical retailer. Please
contact your specialist retailer in the event of damage.
Do not repair the product yourself – this may affect its
quality and medical effectiveness. For hygiene reasons,
this product is intended for one person only. The sewn-in
textile label (if present) is important for the identification
and traceability of the product. We therefore ask you not
to remove the label under any circumstances.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label
sewn into your compression garment. In order to guaran-
tee hygiene and material regeneration, where possible
compression garments should be washed daily if they
are worn regularly. Do up any fasteners (if there are any)
before washing! We recommend turning compression
stockings with silicone borders inside out before
washing. Wash compression garments separately when
washing for the first time (they may lose colour). Your
compression garments should be washed every day on
