Operations
5.2.1 Demounting
Bead Breaking Procedure
• Move the lever (2, Fig.4.1-2) forwards to perform the
following operations:
- The wheel is moved up to the bead breaking disks
and the bead breaking phase begins.
While the discs are operating on the tire you can release
the lever and continue the rotation procedure using the
pedal. This allows the beaks to be lubricated as required
(Fig.5.2-2).
- The machine begins reading the rim profile using a
laser pointer that acquires the exact dimensions.
Note: Having completed the upper bead breaking
operations the machine scans the rim profile
using a laser pointer to acquire the exact
positions.
- After bead breaking, the disks move away from the
tire so the upper automatic tool can position itself
next to the upper bead in order to commence work.
Upper bead removal procedure
• Activate the lever and keep it activated to continue
with the procedure, i.e. until the tool has gripped
onto the upper bead (Fig.5.2-3).
The machine stops automatically (and beeps).
Note: If a SOFT Wheel Mode has been selected,
the cycle moves directly onto the next step
without stopping temporarily.
The operator should:
• Release the lever.
• Check that the Grip operation has been completed
successfully.
• Check that the bead re-enters the rim drop center in
a position diametrically opposite to the tool.
Note: If necessary, use the bead pusher to insert
the bead into the rim drop center (Fig.5.2-4).
