" Anti-Freeze
If the cooling water freezes, the engine cylinder and radia-
tor may crank . In cold weather when the temperature drops
below 0° C, drain out the water or add a proper amount
of anti-freeze when the tractor is shut dawn .
(1) There are two types of anti-freeze solutions, permanent
type (PT) and semi-permanent type (SPTI . For the
Kubota Engine, be sure to use the permanent type .
(21 When anti-freez~, is used for the first time, fill and drain
clean water two or three times so as to completely
clean the inside of the radiator .
(3) Radiator should be filled with 50/50 parts of anti-
freeze and water at all times . The anti-freeze contains a
corrosion inhibitor and will allow a higher operating
temperature in the radiator during the hot season .
Remember that the effective cooling water capacity of
the radiator is shown on the table below .

Stir the anti-freeze well in the water and then pour the
mixture into the radiator .
When the cooing water mixed with anti-freeze de-
creases due to evaporation, replenish with water only .
If loss has been due to leaking, water and anti-freeze
mixture with the same mix ratio as the original pre-
paration .
Anti-freeze solutions absorb moisture, so be sure to
securely close the container after use .
Anti-freeze and water should be changed every year .
Do not use an anti-freeze and a fur inhibitor at the
same time . This may cause sludge to form, adversely
affecting the engine parts .
" Checking and Cleaning Radiator and Oil Cooler
for Preventing from Flooding
Daily or every 5 hours of operation, check to be sure the
radiator net, radiator core and oil cooler core are clean .
Dirt or chaff to the radiator net, radiator core, or oil cooler
core decrease cooling performance .
(1) In that case, detach the net and remove all the foreign
materials from them .
Remove the dust from between the fins and the tube .
Tighten the fan drive belt as necessary . For this, refer
to page 49 .
If fur forms in the tube, clean with the Kubota Fur
Inhibitor .
" Antigel
Si I'eau de refroidissement gels, le cylindee du moteur et le
radiateur peuvent craquer . Par temps froid, lorsque la tem-
perature descend en dessous de 0° , vidangez I'eau et ajoutez
une quantite corrects de produit antigel lorsque le tracteur
est ousts .
11) II y a deux types de solution antigel, le type permanent
(PT) et semi-permanent (SPT) . Pour le moteur Kubota,
veillez a utiliser le type permanent .
(2) Lorsque ('antigel est utilise pour la premiere fois, rem-
plissez et vidangez ('eau propee deux ou trots fois afin
de nettoyer completement I'inierieur du radiateur.
(31 Le radiateur doit errs rempli d'antigel et d'eau au
meme rapport de mixtion (1 :1) . L'antigel contient
un anticorrosif et il supporters une haute temperature
dons le radiateur en season chaque .
Rappelez-vous que la capacity effective du radiateur en
eau de refroidissement est sur la table sous .

(41 Melangez bien ('antigel avec de ('eau et versez le dons le
radiateur .
(5) Lorsque ('eau de refroidissement melangse a ('antigel
diminue a cause de I'yvaporation, remplissez seulement
avec de ('eau . Si la perte est due a une fuite, ajoutez
plus d'eau et de vidange antigel dons la meme propor-
tion que la preparation originate .
16) La solution antigel absorbs I'humidite aussi, prenez
soin de refermer soigneusement le container apres utili-
sation .
(71 L'anti-gel et ('eau seront renouveles chaque annee .
(B) N'utilisez pas d'antigel et d'inhibiteur en meme temps .
Ceci peut entrainer la formation de boue, affectant en
consequence les pieces du moteur .
" Verification et Nettoyage du Radiateur et du
Refroidisseur pour Prevention de Chauffage
S'assurer chaque jour ou routes les 5 heures de travail, que
la grille du radiateur et le refroidisseur d'huile sont propres .
La presence de souillures ou de poussieres dons ces elements
diminue le rendement du refroidissement .
(1) Dans ce cas, deposer la grille et eliminer tous les corps
strangers de ces elements .
(2) Eliminer de la poussiere des ailettes et du tube .
(3) Retendre la courroie d'entrainement du ventilateur si
nscessaire . A ceteffet, se ryferer a la page 49.
(4) En cas de presence de tartre dans~l'element, le nettoyer
avec le dytartrant KUBOTA .
