10. TROUBLESHOOTING

A defect of the appliance is often caused by problems which can be easily solved without having
to contact a service technician. In such cases, the following activities should be performed.
10.1. IF THE APPLIANCE DOES NOT WORK, CHECK WHETHER:
• The plug is firmly secured in the power outlet
• The power cord is not damaged.
10.2. IF THE REQUESTED TEMPERATURE IS NOT OBTAINED, CHECK WHETHER:
• The controller switch is on,
• The settings on the electronic control panel
are correct (see item 8.3),
• The appliance is undergoing a defrosting cy-
cle or whether the defrosting cycle just end-
ed,
• The condenser is covered with dust,
• The appliance is located close to a source of
