material that cannot melt. It has to be at least 50 cm away from side walls and the top
has to be at least 180 cm above the floor.
The heater has to preferably be positioned at and permanently connected to an
electric socket. This connection may only be made by a qualified electrician and, for
that reason, is not described here.
In this booklet, for reasons of safety, use with a plug should be assumed; when
there is a permanent connection, any passages about the plug do not apply.
Drill two holes in the wall at the required locations, at least 2 cm. removed from an
angle and to fit the plugs exactly: make sure these holes are horizontal and 57.5 cm
apart. Insert plugs and screws into the holes. Allow the screws to stick out by 10 mm.
Hook the heater over the screws using the hanging eyes, then
lower it down and slide it to the right. The fixing material
supplied is suitable for brick walls. Consult a specialist, for
instance at a DIY store, if your wall is built of other material.
Check whether the heater is secured to the wall; if necessary
insert the screws a little further into the plugs.
Attach the heater using the materials supplied. Place the
bracket on top of the heater (see picture) with the short side
against the wall. Mark the location of the hole on the wall and
remove the heater. Drill a hole at the marked spot and insert a
plug. Now hang the heater in place and screw the bracket to
the wall, as shown in the diagram. The heater is now installed.
Using for the first time and Operation
Make sure that the main switch is OFF (O)
Unroll the electrical cable entirely and insert the plug into a suitable 220/240V socket.
Set the main switch to ON (l). The display will show the current temperature.
With the remote control
Press the ON/OFF button (7): the fan will begin to rotate and the fan indicator lamp A
will light up.
By pressing the MODE button one or more times, you can set the heater to half of full
power or select just fan. The indicator lamp for the chosen mode will light up.
Pressing button 9 (Swing) will start the oscillating function: the flap in front of discharge
vent 5 will move and air will start to flow. This function works while heating and
ventilating. By pressing the button again, the oscillating function is turned off.
The required temperature can be set using buttons 10 and 11. The display will
momentarily show the required temperature and before returning to the current
temperature. The built-in thermostat will switch off the heating when the desired
temperature has been reached. Once the temperature starts dropping, the heating will
automatically switch back on.
Press the ON/OFF button again in order to switch the heater off. When you have been
using the device to provide heat, it will cool off for 30 seconds before switching off
entirely. During cooling, the indicator lamp A will flash on and off. Once the cooling
period has come to an end and the signal light A has gone off, press the main switch 1
to turn off and remove the plug from the socket.
Emergency operation of the appliance
The most important functions of the appliance can be activated without the use of the
remote control.
