closes with the setting for door closed in the day or door
closed at night. Useful for reducing noise.
0: The electric lock operates according to the setting for
lock hold, at each manoeuvre if the hold is disengaged,
or with a 20sec hold if it is engaged.
21.2) Self-diagnosing system
This is used to check the control unit functionality and correct wiring instal-
lation. The control unit informs the UNIPRO programmer about its input
status. It is to be executed with the motor stopped.
Connect UNIPRO, open the CONTROL UNIT/SELF-DIAGNOSIS menu,
press Enter and wait for the self-diagnosing program to indicate the posi-
tion and comments concerning the inputs which show problems, such as
in the following list:
• [stop error]
Stop Contact open, input to terminal 5
• [photocell error] Photocell Contact open, input to terminal 6
• [open error]
Open Contact closed, input to terminal 4
• [starti error]
Key-Opening Contact closed, input to terminal 3
• [starte error]
Radar Contact always closed, input to terminals 1e 2
If self-diagnosis gives positive results, the message "All OK" will be dis-
played.
21.3) Statistics
Connect the UNIPRO programmer to the control unit, open the CONTROL
UNIT/STATISTICS menu and scroll the screen page displaying statistical
parameters:
• Board microprocessor software version
• Date of last maintenance. To be updated by hand from the appropriate
"Maintenance update" menu.
- Advanced statistics:
• address 21- User code and installer code
The user code and installer code are displayed, separated by a space.
Each of them is made up of 5 numbers included between 1 and 5, and
can be changed.
The default codes are: 12345 and 55555 .

22) INSTALLATION CHECK

Before the automation system finally becomes operational, scrupulously
carry out the following procedure:
• Check that the belt is perfectly aligned by getting the automation system
to carry out a few manoeuvres. Should the belt tend to come off the pul-
leys, proceed to alignment by slackening the motor brackets and/or the
driving pulley brackets, and then tilting them in such a way as to correct
the fault. Then tighten the respective screws.
• Check that all the safety devices (photocells, antisquash sensitivity) oper-
ate correctly.
• Check the manual and radar-controlled opening and closing operations.
• Check the emergency opening devices fitted.
• Check all the function logics which can be set through the selector.
23) AUTOMATION USE
All the safety devices must be frequently checked in order to ensure their
perfect efficiency.
WARNING: In the event of any safety device malfunction, request immedi-
ate assistance to be exclusively carried out by qualified personnel.
24) AUTOMATION CONTROL
The use of this automation system allows the door to be opened and closed
automatically. There are different types of controls (manual, radar, magnetic
card access etc.) depending on the system requirements and characteris-
tics.
See the relevant instructions for the various control systems.
25) MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Disconnect the mains power supply and the battery before any
maintenance operation, which should be carried out by qualified personnel
only.
Examine the installation frequently to check for signs of wear or damage
to the cables, springs or supports. If any maintenance work is conside-
red necessary, do not use the operator.
For inspection and/or maintenance purposes, the operator is provided
with 2 service levers "L" placed inside and fixed to the side walls.
These allow the front guard (fig. 32A) to be kept in the OPEN position.
To use the lever, just remove and position it in the same housing holes, ro-
tate it by 180° and then lock it again with the wing nut supplied (fig. 32B).
Once maintenance work is completed, return the lever to its initial posi-
tion.

Periodically check the condition of the sliding elements (in particular the
carriage wheels and leaf-guide runners).
Keep the floor leaf-guide sliding area clean.
Periodically check that the door stops in the presence of obstacles
which are not detected by photocells.
Periodically clean the photocell optical elements.
When any operational malfunction if found, and not resolved, discon-
nect the mains power supply and request the assistance of a qualified
person (installer).
26) NOISE LEVEL
WARNING: This check should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
The aerial noise level produced by this automation system under normal
operating conditions is constant and does not exceed 70dB (A). Should the
door sound noisy, check the state of the sliding elements.
27) SCRAPPING
WARNING: This operation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Materials must be disposed of in conformity with the current regulations.
In case of scrapping, the automation system does not entail any particular
risks or danger. In case of materials to be recycled, these should be sorted
out by type (electrical components, copper, aluminium, plastic etc.). If a
battery is fitted, refer to the current standards.
28) BATTERY REMOVAL
For battery removal, keep to the current standards and in particular:
1) Remove the batteries before dismantling the operator.
2) The appliance must be disconnected from the power supply during bat-
tery removal.
3) Battery replacement must be exclusively carried out by qualified per-
sonnel.
4) Batteries must be disposed of safely.
29) DISMANTLING
WARNING: This operation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
When the automation system is disassembled to be reassembled on an-
other site, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the power supply and the entire electrical installation on the
outside of the top rail.
• In the case where some of the components cannot be removed or are
damaged, they must be replaced.
