5.3 Installation of the Ceramill Match
and Ceramill Motion Software

NOTE:
Malfunction!
▷ Operate the milling machine only via PCs deliv-
ered by AmannGirrbach!
▷ Insert the Ceramill Match CD-ROM into the drive
of the PC.
The CD contains a PDF file with installation
guide.
▷ Open the PDF document and follow the instruc-
tions in the guide.

▷ Make sure that the main switch [5] of the milling
machine is in the 0 position.

Interfaces on the rear side of the milling
machine
▷ Check if the SD memory card is properly seated
in the slot [3] on the rear side of the milling
machine.
▷ Connect the control cable to the control inter-
face for extraction [4] on the rear side of the
milling machine and to the interface on the rear
side of the extraction system (e.g. Ceramill Air-
stream).
▷ Insert the extraction hose of the extraction sys-
tem being used (e.g. Ceramill Airstream) to the
extraction connection [7] on the rear side of the
milling machine.
▷ Connect the mains cable to power supply con-
nection [6] of the milling machine as well as to a
mains socket outlet.
Malfunctions caused by driver conflicts on the
PC.
▷ Do not connect the Ceramill Motion milling
machine and the Ceramill-Match-Dongle to the
PC until after the software is installed.
▷ Connect a USB cable to the USB data port [1] of

the milling machine and to a free USB port of
the PC.
The maximum permitted length of the USB
cable is 5 m.
NOTE:
The milling machine is only recognized by
the software when it is connected to the
PC via the same USB port, on which it was
installed.
▷ Mark the USB port used for the milling
machine on the PC, and use only this
port for the connection.
