2) TYPES OF CHASSIS AND FITTING METHODS
•
Most slider HTL are equipped with bolt-on sliding tubes
(except for the types DH-SP and DH-SV which come with
weld-on sliding tubes), adapted to the type of chassis of
the vehicle.
•
Distinction is made between "side mounting" to truck chas-
sis, and "under-mounting" to trailer or semi-trailer chassis
[See Fig. 2.1].
2.1
Side mounting to truck chassis
2.2
Under mounting to trailer chassis / aluminium
tubes
2.3
Under mounting to trailer chassis / steel tubes
•
The slider HTL covered by this manual are all retracted in /
out by means of a hydraulic motor [See Fig. 2.4].
•
The construction with hydromotor doesn't require any fixa-
tion of the drive system to the vehicle chassis. In compari-
son to the double acting retraction cylinder, this execution
allows to:
1. gain considerably in fitting time
2. gain in required overhang dimension
