Operating Manual WindControl

Setting the Sunshade Function

General
In order for the awning to provide the required sunshade effect, the
actuation threshold for the sunshade function must be programmed
when the required level of sunshine is present. This programming is
only possible in automatic mode!
Acknowledgement during manual / automatic change-over
At each change-over of the manual/automatic switch, the WindControl
acknowledges the new setting (manual or automatic mode) when the
STOP button on the TouchControl is subsequently activated:
The awning is switched against the last direction of travel for a second,
stopped for a second and then moved back into its original position.
When the UP or DOWN keys are activated, the WindControl likewise
acknowledges the changed setting and then executes the travel com-
mand, when the WindControl is in manual mode.
Storing the actuation threshold
1. Move the sliding switch on the TouchControl into the "Automatic"
position.
2. Press the STOP button until the drive executes the movement ac-
knowledgement.
3. When the required amount of sunlight is obtained, press the DOWN
button on the TouchControl until the WindControl acknowledges
the storage as described above.
Note
When the UP or DOWN button is activated in automatic
mode for longer than 8 seconds, a change always occurs
in the actuation threshold.
The sunlight measured at this point in time is now stored as the actua-
tion threshold; the value is also retained in the event of a power failure
or change-over to manual mode. When operated in automatic mode,
the awning is always extended at this light intensity. A change to the
actuation threshold is performed simply by overwriting the old value.
The sunshade function is only performed in automatic mode.
Deletion of the actuation threshold
The stored light value is deleted by keeping the retract button (UP but-
ton) pressed down in automatic mode, until the WindControl acknowl-
edges the deletion.
Note
If no actuation threshold is stored, the sunshade is al-
ways retracted in automatic mode.
Behaviour with programmed actuation threshold in auto-
matic mode
If the measured light value exceeds the stored actuation threshold
continuously for 1.5 minutes, the awning is extended. If the measured
light value remains below the stored actuation threshold for 15 min-
utes, the awning is retracted again.
