The display prompts are available in different languages. The
language can be selected from the password-protected menu.
The display has a backlight. This backlight will be switched off after
approx. 30 seconds. To turn on the backlight, press any key.
2.2.4 Power supply
The Dräger X-act 5000 Basic can only be operated with
a rechargeable battery. The power supply is part of the Ex-approval.
The display shows that battery capacity. The information is
continuously updated. For the meaning of the icons, please refer to
Chap. 2.6 on page 10.
When the last measurement is finished and acknowledged with the
"OK" key, the "Battery empty" icon is displayed. A new measurement
can only be carried out once the power supply has been charged or
replaced.
If the Dräger x-act 5000 Basic is switched on, but no operation is
performed, the sleep mode will be activated after approx. 5 minutes.
To deactivate the sleep mode, press any key. The Dräger x-act 5000
Basic will automatically return to the operation screen.

Intended use

The Dräger X-act 5000 Basic is used for spot check measurements
with tubes, simultaneous test sets, and sampling with sampling tubes
and systems. It has been designed to draw the gas, which is to be

GEP-0100. The Dräger x-act 5000 Basic is intrinsically safe when
used with one of the approved power supplies (see Chap. 9 on
page 21).
