A protective cover is available as accessory. The protective cover is
fitted to the visor with the press studs and protects it from scratches,
paint particles and dust.
In addition, earmuffs can be mounted on the helmet as an option.

Functional description

The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor consists of a safety
helmet with a visor and face cuff
The safety helmet absorbs the energy of an impact through the partial
destruction or damaging of the helmet's shell. The visor protects the
face against solid and liquid particles. The face cuff fits the contours of
the face. The resulting overpressure prevents polluted ambient air
from penetrating. Excess air escapes through ventilation holes in the
face cuff. A ventilation duct is integrated in the safety helmet.
If a powered air purifying system or airline breathing apparatus is
connected, the filtered air is guided in front of the user's face through
the ventilation duct.

Intended use

The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor is dedicated for use with
the Dräger X-plore 7300/7500 and Dräger X-plore 8000 powered air
purifying respirators or the Dräger X-plore 9000 air line breathing
apparatus.
The Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor is also suitable for users
wearing glasses and beards.
