1. Safety notes

Before using this tool, please
study carefully the information
contained in these operating
instructions. They provide
important information for your safety
as well as for the use and maintenan-
ce of the tool.
This precision boring tool is designed for
machining bores in metallic materials.
These operating instructions do not con-
tain specific information concerning the
machining of individual metallic materials.
When using other material please con-
tact our technicians and attention should
be paid to the safety regulation. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for damage or injury caused by improper
use.
A damaged tool can put your safety at
risk and must be taken out of service
immediately. If necessary, contact the
manufacturer.
This tool complies with the prescribed
safety regulations. Repairs must only be
undertaken by skilled personnel.
Improper repairs can result in considera-
ble danger to users. Warranty provisions
can be implemented only in the event
that original Wohlhaupter spare and
accessory parts are used.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe
place for future use.

2. Application

The precision fine boring tool is intended
for machining bores from 3 to 102 mm
(.118 – 4.016") in diameter. A wide range
of accessories is available for the indivi-
dual diameter ranges.

- For diameters Ø 3 – 30 mm (Ø .118 –
1.181"): mini-boring tools, turning tools
and tool holders
- For diameters Ø 29 – 53 mm (Ø 1.142 –
2.087"): serrated tool bodies and insert
holders
- For diameters Ø 52 – 102 mm (Ø
2.047 – 4.016"): insert holders
- Outside turning Ø 4 – 66 mm (Ø .157 –
2.598"): insert holders for outside
turning

3. Tool features

- Manufactured from hardened and
ground alloyed case-hardening steel.
- On the spindle side, the tool is design-
ed with a Wohlhaupter-
tion (fig. 1).

- Internal coolant feed up to the cutting
edge, permissible pressure: max. 20 bar
(290 PSI) (fig. 2)
- Tool-side arrangement with bore
Ø 16 mm (.63") for fitting adapters,
reducers/ turning tools, tool holders
as well as serrated tool bodies with
K-profile on the front of the slide for
fitting insert holders
