To obtain the optimum cutting position,
ensure that the cutting position is in
parallel with the set screw when clamp-
ing the tool holders.
Mini-boring tools (fig. 8)
Secure the mini-boring tools
slide with an adapter
end in the adapter so that the mini-
boring tool reaches its cutting position
and clamp it on the oblique surface with
a threaded taper pin

Clamping
The tool is fitted with a clamping screw

. The slide
jaws using the clamping screw. This pro-
duces the effect of a vice, so that when
clamping takes place there is no change
in diameter (fig. 12).

secured using this clamping screw
The clamping arrangement must be ope-
rated before and after each setting pro-
cedure. Graduated dial
ment is located next the tool clamping
point. Only one key is needed to operate
both functions.
To avoid damage to parts of the
adjustment mechanism, do not
make any diameter adjust-
ments in the clamped state.
Diameter adjustment
The matt chrome dial
reading of the diameter setting. The
distance of the adjustment is limited.

for setting the diameter as set out below.
